In line with the vision and mission of our company, Sure beef N.V. has formulated its own position on CSR:

“Corporate Social Responsibility” is the corporate strategy that strives for the right balance between the environment, society and the economy.

Every day, Sure beef N.V. strives for improvements in the production process and logistics that contribute to a cleaner environment. Environmental awareness is expressed in our company in the reuse of offal, in particular the export of hides. Hides are normally dumped in the landfill after the slaughter process. In order to contribute to a clean environment, there is room to export the hides, so that they can be reused by foreign companies. Furthermore, the usable offal (rejected meat and organs for human consumption but not for animal consumption) is used to make dog food so that it returns to the food cycle. The remaining residual waste is planned for a project with biogas, so that we can use it to produce our gas for our own use to heat water. This residual waste is then mixed with our waste water and the residual waste is digested into bio-fertilizer, which can be sold for the benefit of farmers.
